| BRM has joined the Inter-Faith Council of Flint. In February 2003, Ven. Mudita, Sri Lankan monk from Great Lakes Buddha Vihara in Southfield, accepted our invitation for lunch in Flint. He explained the basic teachings of Buddhism to the members and responded with wisdom and wit to their questions. As members of the Inter-Faith council, we have represented Buddhism at a Gandhi Memorial march, an ecumenical Thanksgiving service, a Jewish Seder, and the dedication of a neo-natal intensive care unit at Hurley Hospital. |
