| Dorothy and Jennie were content to spend more time at our house in Anniwatte than traipisng around. With Lily providing delicious meals, who could blame them? They enjoyed getting to know Ashoka, who came every day to help around the house, to deliver whatever we needed, and to take us wherever we wanted to go, and Shehan, with whom Jennie spent many hours drawing. They also fell in love with Leo, who loves vehicles, and with Nezumi, who loves to be loved. The monkeys came slmost every day to entertain us, and Dorothy was fascinated by a spider who took up residence in the office bathroom. Our house is surrounded by nature--a garden? a yard? a jungle?--and the sunsets over the valley can be striking. |
