| After our tour, we stopped for tea and cake at the Mlesna Tea Fortress, which is an imposing wndowless building in Pilimatalawa. We had passed it innumerable times on the way to Colombo, but had never stopped. We are very glad we finally stepped inside. The architecture is amazing. the inner wall iis a natural rock waterfall!
On the way home, we stopped in Peradeniya to see a monitor lizard in a drain. Jennie was able to video ana amazIng ,but sad, event. Please watch it. You are also free to share it widely. |
