Another great patron of the Buddha was Anathapindika. As soon as he heard the Buddha's teaching, he decided to provide a residence for the Sangha. Choosing a beautiful mango grove in the city of Savatthi, he approached its owner, Prince Jeta. The Prince offered to sell the grove for the gold it would take to cover the entire area.
