| Though not at all connected to the life of Buddha, one of the most impressive Buddhist monuments in India is the Great Stupa at Sanchi. It was here in 1979 that we first understood that we were Buddhist. Lack of time prevented us from including the site in this pilgrimage, but we are already planning a visit when we return to India in October. | |||
