Veluvana was the bamboo grove which King Bimbisara gave for Buddha's residence. It was "not too far from a village, not too near, suitable for coming and going, accessible to people whenever they want, not crowded during the day and with little noise at night, quiet, without folks' breath, a place of privacy, suitable for living in seclusion." |
