Esala Perahera 2017

On Saturday, August 5, Ken accompanied Hannah and Shehan to view the Perhhera, Sri Lanka's largest festival procession.. Tickets for reserved seats at prime locations can cost as much as $100 each. That evening, however, Paperline, the stationery store where we get all of our office supplies, allowed us to sit in the shop with no charge. We were there for seven hours, and it was quite a show. This was our third time to view the procession. It is thrilling to watch, but Ken did not feel the necessity to photorecord the whole thing.
