Dushy asked Buddhist Relief Mission to offer dana to a temple in Kandy on November 13, 2020, the three-month death anniversary of her father, Neil Mendis, . On that date, dana was offered to eight monks at Thapovana Monastery, near the entrance to Udawattakele Forest Preserve. Also remembered at this memorial service were Dushy's mother, Swarnalatha Mendis who passed away in 2000l, and two aunts, Agnes Kumarihamy Mendis and Doreen Mendis, both of whom passed away in October this year. May all of them have an auspicious rebirth.
