A Buddhist Verse in Code

Long, long ago, when Brahmadatta was reigning in Baranasi, it was forbidden for ascetics to write letters to each other. Some ascetics discovered, however, that, if they used a code, the king would not understand what the notes said. This is one of the notes the king found. Can you read it? The message is written in English, but each letter is represented by a different letter.
