The Nepalese claim that Tilarakot (shown here) is the site of Kapilavatthu. The Indians claim that Piprahwa is the site. This pilgrimage did not include Piprahwa, but here is a photo from 2001. When this stupa was excavated, relics of the Buddha were found in a casket with an inscription indicating that this was the Sakyan Stupa.
