A Donation of Medical Equipment to the Sangha

At Bodhirukaramaya, there are ten monks who are suffering from diabetes. Taking these monks every other day to the hospital for monitoring costs more than $200 per month. With a generous donation, BRM was able to purchase a blood glucose meter, an automatic blood pressure monitor, and several digital thermometers. On June 8, Ven. Amilasiri came to Kandy. After lunch at our house, we took him to the pharmacy, where the specialists carefully explained how to use the monitors. BRM also provided a two-month supply of disposables and an AC adaptor so that the monastery will not have to waste money on batteries.Ven. Amilasiri was very happy as he returned to Kurunegala.
